Trespasses plot
In 1975, in a small town outside Belfast. While working behind the bar of her family's pub one evening and serving a mixed clientele, including local soldiers, Catholic schoolteacher Cushla meets Michael, an older, married Protestant man who often defends IRA suspects. Although they are worlds apart, Cushla knows that a relationship like this brings with it all sorts of problems, yet they feel irresistibly drawn to one another. In a world where loose lips cost lives and danger lurks in the shadows, this forbidden affair between Cushla and Michael ignites.
