High-profile drama series about life on the women's wing of a prison in which a dozen women are imprisoned for various offenses ranging from murder to embezzlement. Life on the women's wing is romanticized by the strong bond between women on the one hand, but at the same time the mutual irritations, the violent insults and uninhibited feelings of lust give the series a raw edge.
