Tracks of Glory plot

In 1903, a major cycling race was organized in Australia. The colored American 'Major' Taylor is one of the favorites. He is constantly confronted with racism from other participants, often fellow countrymen of his, and from the Australian government. Australian Don Walker, a man from very humble backgrounds, is another candidate for victory. Both men fight against social prejudices and try to build a reputation as athletes.
