He told the media that he followed the advice of then national coach Louis van Gaal, but actually his conversation with an entity on a less earthly level was the deciding factor. Cody Gakpo rejected offers from Leeds United and Southampton in the summer of 2022 to stay with PSV after a conversation with the Supreme.
