Reviews & comments

Not a topper, this Norwegian thriller series. The plot is rather syrupy and has a lot of repetition, with characters that do not exactly appeal to the imagination. Visually it's all nicely put together and decent gameplay is delivered, but only in the last few episodes does it want to get a bit exciting. And just when you think everything is neatly wrapped up, a very far-fetched open ending arrives, threatening a second season. I'll be out of the game then, I'm afraid.

It started well, with a reasonable pace and an interesting interweaving between the various people. Unfortunately, the last two parts were pretty lame and soporific. An interesting plot in itself, except for the conclusion. You expect a worked out ending but this was quite a disappointment. Even Anniken, who had quite an important share in the whole thing, had suddenly disappeared. With all those unfinished lines you would expect a season 2 soon, but that is not (yet) the case. The cast was fine, but only Thelma Farnes Ottersen (Milla, daughter of Lars) gets a compliment from me for her performance in part 6, when her father left; very well played.
