Not completely happy with this season of The Handmaid's Tale. it all started a bit weak and overly slow. As mentioned above, I was getting a little tired of all the escapes and the return to the Waterford family. In addition, other episodes, especially in the second half, had some very exciting scenes.

The acting here was just a notch better than in the first season. Elisabeth Moss and Ann Dowd already convinced in the first season, but this time there is also more room for Alexis Bledel, Joseph Fiennes and especially for Yvonne Strahovski, who in my opinion portrays the most interesting character of this season.

In short, this season unfortunately scores less for me than the first season in many areas, but it still remains a strong series qualitatively.

Fair criticism.

Season 1 was really enjoyable for me. Totally my thing, and despite the many justified criticisms of this season I once again completely glued to the tube. I can absolutely understand when people suffer from the lack of progression and the simple predictability.

No shocking things don't happen with real consequences despite Offred making fun of everyone over and over, some choices are quite special (final), and we're just as far as s1e1 at the end.

Despite the fact that I absolutely see this as a justified criticism, I personally did not bother for a second.

The atmosphere, world, and cinematography are of such a level that I did not think about it at all. I was just glad she went back every time because I was curious about the dynamics with Serena and Fred. Eventually we'll have to move on, but until then I'm definitely enjoying the ordinary Tuesday at the Waterford house.
