Quite doable, especially indeed the flashbacks that give a little more meaning to the story. It takes a while before everything gets going (including the slasher/horror part, at most twenty seconds in the first episode?) but then it finds its way. Even with pretty hard kills. Kind of laughable how fast their friends get over that all the time (and where do they put all those corpses?) but okay, for a slasher forgivable of course.

There are very typical characters, but for example those Glenn and Mark have succeeded, especially given their history. Not a great series but entertaining.

The second season of Slasher is a new story in which a number of actors from season 1 return in new roles.

In terms of content, the tone is a lot more serious, the story a bit better developed and the acting a bit more convincing. Where season 1 was a tribute to the 80s slashers, I regularly thought of The Thing (1982) in terms of design.

The main reason for giving the same rating this season is that I liked the killer a lot less. Season 1's The Executioner fitted seamlessly into the tradition of Jason, Michael Myers, and many other '80s horror icons.

This killer felt quite interchangeable and lacked the necessary charisma. Furthermore, the scenario was a lot better and I needed more time to find out who the killer was. Some plot twists were predictable, although it must be said that in the end it is a neatly rounded whole and that is different in many horror films or series.

Again made with great pleasure and love for the genre and the target group will enjoy a few entertaining hours with this.

Above average.
