Poland, 1980s. In a small, forgotten town somewhere in southwestern Poland, a brutal double murder is committed: a young prostitute and a local communist activist. At the same time, several teenagers also commit suicide. Witold Wanycz, an experienced, somewhat bitter journalist, writes about the murder in the local newspaper. At the same time, a young editor works in the same editorial office: Piotr Zarzycki - son of a high-ranking party activist. He starts his own journalistic investigation. The more he gets involved in the case, the deeper he sinks.
