Slightly better than last season. Still melodramatic at times, too many flashbacks with dramatic music. Also less "games" than the previous season, but the closing game is very fitting. Of course the last game has to end with the queen of hearts[/i] given the link with Alice in Wonderland in a game that turns out to be very psychologically shrewd. The ending seems fitting in that regard too and despite some minor question marks why he's dreaming about other survivors if he didn't know them before the catastrophe, the ending feels quite satisfying. 2.5*.

Long-winded, sentimental second and final season, with endless chatter about feelings and unnecessarily stretched (and rather far-fetched) game rounds, often spread over several episodes. At times quite exciting as well as quite brutal and bloody, but it all goes on for far too long and eventually the story goes in a direction that is actually not fascinating at all.

A fantastic series.

Leentjebuur played at the Korean Squid Game. I also found these games inventive.

In the last episode you are quite wrong-footed. The last episode was too melodramatic for me. Shame.

The Japanese makes it difficult to estimate the acting performance. I liked the main characters. They also didn't always do nice things.

The camera work is very good. It sucks you into the different situations.

The sets and cgi were sublime.

I don't think there will be a 3rd series. Is not necessary. It was finished after episode 8 of series 2.
