Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt plot

Kimmy Schmidt has just been rescued from an Indiana cult where she and three other women were held for 15 years. Determined not to be seen as a victim, Kimmy starts her life over with a positive attitude. She moves to New York City and, with the help of roommate Titus Andromedon, begins an "adult" life.

Het eerste seizoen gaf ik nog 3,5 sterren aangezien ik vooral erg genoten had van de eerste 3 afleveringen. Daarna werd het allemaal al wat meliger. Maar dit seizoen stoor ik mijzelf meer aan de grappen dan dat ik erom moet lachen. Het is allemaal te erg over the top en te hysterisch. Gaat op een gegeven moment best vervelen. Ik heb in dit seizoen welgeteld 1 maal moeten gniffelen en dat was toen Robert Durst werd nagedaan (de psycho uit de docu serie the Jinx) maar daar hebben ze in feite ook wat goede grappen over laten liggen. De eerste 3 afleveringen van het 1e seizoen waren juist zo leuk omdat het tegelijkertijd erg morbide was dat met die mollenvrouwen. Seizoen 2 mist dat tot nu toe enorm en ik ben al aan de 6e aflevering toe.

I gave the first season 3.5 stars as I especially enjoyed the first 3 episodes. After that it all got a little murkier. But this season, the jokes bother me more than I have to laugh. It's all too much over the top and too hysterical. Gets boring at some point. I only had to chuckle once in this season and that was when Robert Durst was imitated (the psycho from the docu series the Jinx) but in fact they also left some good jokes about that. The first 3 episodes of the 1st season were so much fun because at the same time it was very morbid with those mole women. Season 2 is so far missing that and I'm already on the 6th episode.

Ook het tweede seizoen blijft het genieten van de hyperactieve pogingen van Kimmy Schmidt om haar eigen leven op te bouwen. Voor de vervolgreeks is er een nieuw blik komieken en bekende acteurs opengetrokken om typetjes te spelen. Tina Fey doet zelf een hilarische psychiater met twee verschillende gezichten: overdag is zij het stereotiep van de begripvolle therapeute, maar 's avonds ontpopt zij zich tot alcohol zuipend feestbeest. Een leuk tegenwicht op Kimmy Schmidt als het lieve kindmeisje dat zich altijd zelf heeft moeten redden. Eigenlijk doet deze reeks er in alles een schepje bovenop: nóg spitsvondigere dialogen; nóg meer pop culture verwijzingen; nóg meer visuele grappen die in een oogwenk voorbij zijn; nóg meer aandacht op de zang van Titus Andromedon.

The second season also continues to enjoy Kimmy Schmidt's hyperactive attempts to build her own life. For the sequel series, a new can of comedians and famous actors has been opened to play characters. Tina Fey herself is a hilarious psychiatrist with two different faces: during the day she is the stereotype of the understanding therapist, but at night she turns into an alcohol-drinking party animal. A nice counterbalance to Kimmy Schmidt as the sweet child girl who has always had to save herself. Actually, this series goes a step further in everything: even more clever dialogues; even more pop culture references; even more visual jokes that are over in the blink of an eye; even more attention to the vocals of Titus Andromedon.
