Unfortunately, still a setback. The story is decent, but the execution a lot less. Acting is flat to mediocre, the tension doesn't really come through, and the ending comes across as rushed. It's fine to finish the series once you've started it, but I don't recommend it. *2.5

Strong series!
I seriously wanted to stop after 3 episodes, but I'm glad I moved on. It was all too slow at first and too many balls were thrown in my opinion, making it messy and tedious. But the further I got, the more the series started to get under my skin. It gave me a creepy feeling. Of course the story could have been told faster and shorter, but that would have destroyed the atmosphere and the whole mythology surrounding the story.
For those who expect jumpscares, kills and a fast pace, this will be nothing. If you like movies like Hereditary and Midsommar, this is a series for you.

No idea why this is hype. There is little logic or coherence in it and the characters are poorly developed, especially the supporting roles, making almost everyone weird and/or unsympathetic.
