Absentia plot

The series tells the story of FBI agent Emily Byrne, who disappears without a trace and is pronounced dead while hunting one of Boston's most notorious serial killers. Six years later, she is found in a cabin in the woods, barely alive and with no memory of the years she was missing. When she gets home, she learns that her husband has remarried and her son is being raised by another woman.

I think it's the best series I've seen so far. So exciting that it invites you to keep watching the next episode. That applies to all seasons. Hopefully there will be more seasons to come.

I've seen all three seasons and I think it's a fantastic series. The start of season 1, in particular, was excellent. Seasons 2 and 3 were a bit less successful; the pace had lost some of its pace, and there were a few too many flashbacks to Emily's aquarium days. Nevertheless, the suspense remained, and the resolution was well-crafted. A great cast, great action scenes, and a good story, despite the minor coincidences and missteps. But I've come to expect that from this kind of series.

Finally, all seasons are out. 1 and 3 are the best. Jack and Emily's acting has gotten stronger throughout the seasons.

Family ties are also better established in 3.

The "Who is it?" remains a quest until the end. The storyline is quite complex, with the inevitable heroic actions, yet very intriguing. There's also some paranoia.

Bingeworthy. An exciting finale.

Recommended. 4 stars for number 3.
