Vera plot

Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope lives in the North East of England. This workaholic lady won't let herself be boxed in. Dressed in her oversized dresses, usually paired with a pair of chunky wellies, she's the police team's terror. She is strict with almost everyone except her right-hand man Joe Ashworth. She's on top of every murder case in quiet Northumberland. The stern Chief Inspector may seem tough, but has a small heart. Combined with her bravery, cynical sense of humor and high intelligence, she tries to bring every case to a successful conclusion.

Turned out to be a dead Belgian sparrow, because it never was, unfortunately. Too bad for all those people who were looking forward to it, while it was clear in both my newspaper and in the TV guide for May 7th: Vera Serie 11 starts....

The fact that "Vera" has been around for 10 seasons already proves that she can safely join the ranks of illustrious TV detectives and although it is sometimes a bit difficult with a lot of names and suspects and the murder motive is not always real satisfying, an excellent Brenda Blethyn knows how to keep things interesting with her determined, often cynical and funny and above all with a lot of insight and people knowledge, performance through the intrigue of each episode. I'd say: Well done, love.
