The upward trend that started with Season 9 is happily maintained here, with only a few episodes that are less engrossing. Episode 1, Lines We Cross, for example, is pretty dull. Fortunately, things quickly get better after that, with a lot of exciting storylines, nasty surprises and a lot of zombies. The presence of bad guys The Whisperers led by Samantha Morton also still provides added value. And even Negan is up for grabs this season! It shouldn't get any crazier. It is a pity that the season with the now available 16 episodes does not seem to be finished; There are apparently 6 more episodes, sometime next year.

Made some catching up last month. Seen up to and including episode fifteen, because these are on Netflix. The season has some fun episodes, but it's far from what it once was. No character manages to captivate except Beta, Daryl, Negan and Michonne. And Michonne is leaving the show after episode thirteen. What makes it sad is that characters like Beta, Daryl and Negan have huge plot armor, and there is no tension whatsoever when they get into trouble with a horde of zombies, or fight a one-on-one fight. Nice to see some zombies in the Walking Dead universe again, but for some really good thrills, drama and that 'sauce' that made The Walking Dead so much fun up to season 7 - although Negan did shine in the last seasons - The Walking Dead literally started to bear its own name. A deceased show that continues on a long-gone success formula.
