It's finally over with Hank Moody and his sexual entanglements. After many disappointing over the top sexual excesses, it goes back to basics: Hank wants Karen back, but too much has happened between them... blah blah. Almost conservative how the makers have really obsessively tried to keep hammering in that love story. This season isn't really good either, as the love triangle between Stu, Marcie and Charlie continues past a point where it's really no fun anymore. I was also extremely disappointed in the whole television setting, which turns out to be little more than filler for the Karen and Hank affair. Still, the series ends satisfactorily enough. Nice feeling to be able to close an increasingly weak series with a reasonably moving ending.

californication and certainly the character Hank Moody has been able to entertain me for a long time, watched many of the seasons multiple times. After watching season 7, however, I was left with an unpleasant aftertaste, this season is very annoying very quickly, the whole santa monica cop thing didn't interest me at all and the relationship between Hank and Levon is not convincing as far as I'm concerned.
if you can actually remove the scenes with the Runkles and the meaningful scenes such as the car accident of Karen hardly influence the rest of the story I can conclude that this series maybe 1 or 2 seasons too long lasts.
all in all enjoyed this series and especially the first four seasons and will definitely recommend it too, just a shame about the end
