The sixth season leaves me with mixed feelings. The sharp dialogues and the satirical humor have been exchanged for ordinary shocking with filth. There are just too many episodes that are painfully unfunny. In previous seasons they got away with this because the build-up to comedic situations was actually funny, but now it's usually too forced to force the controversy. Yet the series manages to find the right tone again at the right moments. Hank's relationship with his daughter in particular remains one of the most beautiful aspects of the series. And then there's leading lady...MAGGIE GRACE! The sexual tension between Faith and Hank Moody manages to spice up this mediocre season quite nicely.
