Debra Newell has a seemingly perfect life: She's successful, beautiful, and lives in one of California's most desirable coastal towns, Newport Beach. The only thing missing is love. So when she finally meets the charming and handsome doctor John Meehan, a whirlwind romance quickly engulfs her, much to the dismay of her daughters Terra and Veronica. Their fast-acting relationship creates tension between Debra and the girls, leaving them with no choice but to investigate the stranger who has entered their mother's life. As Debra gets deeper into his lies and the dark game of psychological manipulation, it results in horrific consequences for the entire family.

Boeiende thriller drama-serie. Zit nog mr aan e3, maar tot hiertoe lekker serietje en hou wel van dit genre series/films met een soort van 'psychopaat' als leidraad, zowel volwassenen als kinderen, denk hierbij aan een serie als 'You' en films als 'The Stephfather', 'Bad Seed', 'The Orphan'. Vind het ook fijn dat de serie mixt tussen nu en het verleden. Was ook verheugd dat er reeds 2de seizoen is, maar zie dat deze precies minder positief wordt onthaald.

Fascinating thriller drama series. Still on e3, but so far a nice series and do like this genre series/films with a kind of 'psychopath' as a guideline, both adults and children, think of a series like 'You' and films like 'The Stephfather ', 'Bad Seed', 'The Orphan'. I also like that the series mixes between now and the past. Was also pleased that there is already 2nd season, but see that this is exactly less positively received.
