Thundering Frontier plot
"A landslide of lightning adventure!"
Carter Filmore, Ed and Jim's father, manages the local bank with Ed, while Jim manages the ranch. Carter has invested in the telegraph line and in order to fulfill his obligations he must sell the ranch. The telegraph line is being built by Andrew Belknap and his daughter Norma. 'Square Deal' Scottie, the unscrupulous saloon owner, convinces Ed to delay construction so that Belknap is forced to sell his company. Ed tells Carter about these plans, just as he is about to draft a new will.
