Kal Emerson, along with his friend Steve Sloan, is looking for gold in Thunder Mountain. They are financed in their attempt to find gold by Sydney Blair and her father after Kal saves Sydney from the advances of a drunken prospector. They find a gold mine, but Kal is tricked when he sets out to claim the mine. When Kal returns to the mine, it is found to have been taken over by Rand Leavitt and Kal's friends turn against him. He doesn't accept that and he goes to attack the bandits.
