The Showdown plot
"SWORN TO KILL A MAN HE'D NEVER SEEN!"
Shadrach Jones is a former Texas state police officer determined to find and kill the man who shot his younger brother in the back and stole the money to buy him and himself a ranch. Through conversations in the saloon run by Adelaide, Shadrach has become convinced that one of the cowboys on the cattle transports to Montana for Captain McKellar is the murderer. Shadrach accepts the job of trail boss to uncover the identity of the culprit. McKellar urges Shadrach to forget about revenge and leave the killer's arrest to the law. Shadrach's hunt for the culprit makes him bitter, but also hated by his cowboys.
