The Hawk plot
On her deathbed, Jay Price's mother reveals that she has kept his true identity hidden all his life. His real name is Jack King, son of Jim King, a wealthy cattle rancher. Jack leaves for his father's ranch and takes a locket that proves his identity. However, he loses the evidence during a fight with Jeff Murdock, the ranch foreman. Jack keeps his identity to himself and manages to get hired at the ranch. Then he learns that Murdock and his men are planning to steal King's entire herd.
