The Dawn Maker plot
Joe Elk, a half-breed, tries to assure his tribe the same education and medical care as he saw on his trip to Montreal. Joe loves Alice McRae, daughter of the chief of the local trading post. But both Alice and the tribe reject Joe's pleas for better conditions for his tribe. A blizzard threatens to destroy them all.
