Davey "The Kid" Duncan and his friends are wanted horse thieves. When Duncan borrows a horse from Jan Walton, he promises to bring it back to her. Duncan ponders his past and decides to walk the straight path from now on. His friends steal Walton's horse, but Duncan doesn't accept it. Then Benson, the leader of the horse thieves gang, gets involved and Duncan is cornered.
