Roy Rogers' single employer Jerry Johnson has inherited a very large ranch, but the will says he cannot sell this ranch. Only Johnson's widow would be allowed to if he were to die. Lucky Miller wants to take control of the ranch and he has a young woman come to the West to marry Jerry Johnson. After the wedding, Miller has Johnson killed by his accomplice. Roy Rogers was close to this murder and he is identified as the perpetrator and arrested.
