After the death of her father, an addicted gambler, Coralie Adams discovers that he has saddled her with his debts. Her father once owned a silver mine, but her father lost even that at the poker table. The card player who now owns the silver mine finds out about Coralie's condition, meets her and falls in love with her. Unfortunately, she is destined to marry a rich young man so that she can be restored to the nobility. The card player demonstrates his great love for her by offering her the rights of the mine as a wedding present. Due to circumstances, however, Coralie never gets to see the gift. Later, Coralie heads west, opens a saloon and sends the money earned to her husband to pay her father's debts. However, he wasted it.
