Saddle Tramp plot
Carefree Chuck Connor is on his way west when he stops to visit an old friend with his four children. When his host dies, Chuck realizes he must take care of the kids. They leave and along the way Chuck takes a job at a ranch, making sure the kids stay out of sight of his boss who hates kids. Tension also surrounds a neighboring ranch, and when a girl joins them who has run away from her evil uncle, Chuck wonders what he's done to deserve all this.
