Rangle River plot
Marion Hastings from Rangle River, Australia left years ago to study in Europe. She receives a letter from foreman Dick Drake of her father's ranch to return home immediately. On the way, Marion meets an Englishman on his way to India. He becomes so impressed with Marion that he exchanges his ticket for one with destination Australia and is then invited to stay at the ranch in Rangle River. Arriving at the ranch, it is immediately clear to Marion why she had to return; Rangel River is experiencing persistent drought.
