Rainbow Ranch plot
Ed Randall rushes out of his army unit after a summons from his aunt. When he arrives at the ranch, his rich uncle appears to have been murdered. Also, the flowing water is cut off from its normal path across the ranch. When Randall visits a man who knows how to handle things legally, this man is murdered. Randall is charged with the murder and ends up in jail. Outside, a crowd has gathered that don't want to wait too long before hanging Randall.
