Pawnee plot

Pale Arrow is a white man who has been raised since childhood by Wise Eagle, the chief of the Pawnees. With the arrival of more and more settlers, Wise Eagle sends Pale Arrow to the whites. Pale Arrow, now calling himself Paul Fletcher, takes a job as a scout for a caravan of settlers. Wise Eagle, who always wanted peace with the whites, dies and the white hater Crazy Fox becomes the new chief of the Pawnees. His first act as chief is to launch an attack on the caravan led by Paul Fletcher.
