"WITS AND COURAGE AGAINST OUTLAW CUNNING!"
Sharpshooter Billy Donovan is giving a demonstration when he is approached by Jean Halloran who needs help with a "ghost gunner" who has already killed her brother and seems determined to drive her other brother and her crippled father off their land. The superstitious people of the village believe that the shooter is a ghost who lives in an abandoned mine. Billy takes the job and investigates the abandoned mine.
