Wings over the Pacific plot
"Amazing adventures of a plane-wrecked Yank... follow him as he finds native white girl, Axis spies, Jap raiders!"
Jim Butler is a veteran of the First World War, who after that war withdrew to Sunday Island, one of the islands in the Pacific Ocean. When the Second World War breaks out, he wants to know as little as possible about it. Unfortunately for Jim, his rest on the island comes to an abrupt end when an American military plane has to make an emergency landing on the island. On board is American pilot Lieutenant Allan Scott. Not long afterwards, the German fighter pilot Lieutenant Kurt Heinmann also had to make an emergency landing. Despite their countries at war, Alan and Kurt try to survive together on the island. Alan falls in love with Jim's daughter Nora and Kurt gets a tip from the Nazi sympathizer Pieter Van Bronk that the island is rich in oil and he tries to pass this on to the Japanese. Jim still feels compelled to take sides in the global conflict.
