Sengadal plot

On the Indian mainland, across the water, the Tamil refugees from Sri Lanka arrive. The border town of Dhanushkodi is the setting of a relentless stream of people who have been robbed of their land and their gods. They are headed for an uncertain future with less and less hope of returning. Manimekalai, the filmmaker, Soori, a mentally retarded Sri Lankan Tamil refugee, Munusamy, a fisherman, and Rosemary, the Jesuit Christian Refugee Services social worker, do their utmost not to lose their minds in this cauldron.
