Stained plot
"Absence makes the heart grow darker"
Isabelle lives alone with her two cats and runs a shabby bookshop that barely has any right to exist. Her only human contact is with her adopted sister Jennifer. When Isabella's ex-boyfriend James suddenly appears in her bookshop one evening, she is overjoyed and they continue their relationship. Jennifer is deeply concerned, and for good reason: the relationship is emotionally debilitating and Isabelle begins to unravel. Jennifer puts her own life on the line when she drives across the country to rescue Isabelle. However, she has to face the atrocities of the past.
