Southern Gothic plot

The secretive Nick runs an illegal gambling operation out of a half-collapsed plantation house in the backwoods. One day Diana arrives and Nick sees her as a potential partner to help him extort money from the big players in the area. Nick has almost cult leader status in his household, with a gallery of followers, victims and parasites surrounding him. But who exactly is Diana, where does she actually come from and what are her real motives?
