Finally, after years of hardship and poverty, Colin Zsigmond, a recently divorced middle-aged writer, can enjoy fame and fortune to the fullest. One evening, during a lecture, he meets Phoebe Lee, an exotic woman with whom he begins a passionate affair. It seems like Colin has found the perfect muse. Phoebe is young, ravishing, madly in love and also has a degree in English literature. But her mysterious behavior begins to disturb him. Something turns out to be wrong when he discovers that Phoebe has a second life. His past seems to have caught up with him to terrorize him in a rather unexpected way.
