Mira and Todd are told that their son Max is suffering from an illness. He has to follow a special diet and do physical exercises every day to stay alive. Mira and Todd hire Gwen, a nurse who moves in with them. She will take care of Max from now on. After a while, however, Mira starts to suffer from strange health problems.
