Lawless: Beyond Justice plot

John Lawless and Jodie Keane have just started a detective agency when they receive an assignment from the beautiful and mysterious Lana Vitale. It concerns the death of her husband Kyle who was found at the bottom of a mountain. Lana is convinced that Kyle has been pushed. While investigating, John and Jodie meet a good friend of Kyle's and learn that on the night of his death he visited Phil Mayo's nightclub, a shady club and cover for pornography. Jodie decides to work undercover at the club and comes across a new kind of drug smuggled out of Thailand. John will have to rescue Jodie from the clutches of the aggressive Mayo and together with Lana he goes in search of her. When it turns out that Lana is very interested in the smuggled drugs, John realizes that he has been cheated by the woman he loved so much. Convinced of Mayo's guilt in Kyle's death and driven by his partner's hostage situation, John makes a tough decision to take out Mayo.
