Four friends in their thirties go wild one more time during a Thai holiday full of sex, drugs and parties. When the body of a young woman washes up after a wild 'Full Moon Party', the four best friends are the main suspects. What should have been a carefree party holiday quickly turns into a horrific nightmare.

Dutch adventure film that, after a stable course, completely loses its way in the last 10 minutes. Director David Cocheret had the right tone for a long time and can count on solid acting from his cast members. Full Moon is not very exciting anywhere, but the content brings enough pace and events to not get bored. The Thai background also provides a nice, sunny atmosphere that is used well. Around the finale, however, there is suddenly the urge to throw all kinds of plot twists into the whole, in which the cast members are pushed into a more theatrical corner. That then works anything but (dramatic acting) and also destroys the balanced genre work that was developed for it.

Decent, certainly much better than that other Volle Maan film from our frog country (that Neijenhuis monstrosity from 2002). A well-constructed thriller, aimed at a young audience. With strong performances, especially from Greidanus, and Bakhuyzen in a different role than we're used to. The last 10 minutes go awry with several surprising twists that don't feel right. If you're looking for a mystery where the puzzle pieces fit perfectly at the end, you'd better skip this one. It's also strange that a film from our country, of all places, bears so many similarities to the world-famous Joran van der Sloot drama from so many years ago; I'm not sure what to think of that.
