Fever plot

"In the heat of the desert sun, everyone gets burned."

Jack Welles, a tough country sheriff, survives a bitter confrontation with a drug dealer. In the smoldering wreckage, he finds a briefcase with transaction money. The temptation is too great and Jack decides to keep the money for himself. A new life with his young, attractive wife Leanne is his dream. This is cruelly disturbed when he comes home to find his wife in the arms of her lover. During a wild fight, Leanne hits her husband on the head. Under the assumption that they have killed Jack, they decide to throw the body in a well. Then it turns out that Jack was only unconscious. A chase ensues...
