Eyewitness plot

"Only the best murder cases make the six o'clock news."

The film begins with Daryll (Hurt), a night watchman with a fascination for reporter Tony (Weaver), who finds the murdered body of a Chinese man. Daryll's hitherto unreachable heroine Tony comes to make a report. To keep her closer, Daryll says he knows more about the case. Unfortunately for Daryll, that lie lures the killers in addition to Tony.
