Danger in the Spotlight plot

Martha lost her son and has had a drinking problem ever since. She loses control of her life and fights with her ex-husband for custody of their daughter, Anna. The night before the trial, Martha wakes up after a car accident. Martha is sure she hasn't been drinking, but her breath still smells like alcohol. Afraid of losing Anna, she anonymously calls the police, after which she leaves the location. Later, Martha feels guilty and seeks contact with the other driver. This is how she gets to know young Daphne, who was paralyzed by the accident.
