Bravado plot

Amy Erickson is a talented but insecure screenwriter who, after fifteen years of chasing dreams in Hollywood, still hasn't achieved success. But when the passionate and domineering director Patrick Lombardi gets excited about her latest script—a gritty British mafia story about an undercover agent who discovers she loves the criminal world she is actually supposed to dismantle—the duo begins working together to develop the project further. As he forces Amy to find authenticity in her writing and demands one version of her script after another, she becomes entangled in an obsessive and self-destructive spiral to perfect her script.
