A victim and survivor of sex trafficking, Alys I. Lashley leads a lonely, desperate and paranoid existence. She's starving and broke... Her dowdy landlord starts demanding sinister favors in return for rent, but she tries to hold him back as long as possible. One day, a lawyer comes by and reveals that Alys was named in a will to inherit a mysterious property. All she has to do is travel to the remote house in the cold dead of winter and claim it personally. Alys is overjoyed, until she finds a mysterious DVD on the floor in the basement of the house and watches the images on it....
