A Midsummer Nightmare plot

Jody Baxter is the annoying wife of private detective Johnny Baxter. When a client comes for "J.Baxter" and her husband is often abroad, she decides to take the case herself. The man, Arnold Tully, is still grieving over the murder of his niece Annabella five years earlier and asks Jody to gather evidence against the man he is sure committed the murder. She examines the man, Peter Ingram, with an objective eye and thus finds a trail that puts her in great danger.
