This Thing Called Love plot
Ann Winters is very wary due to her sister's impending divorce and their parents' messy divorce. She tells her fiancé, Tice Collins, that there will be a three-month trial period after their wedding before they tie the knot, so they can be sure they are compatible. He thinks the idea is crazy, but she points out that they have only known each other for a very short time. Harry Bertrand, his lawyer and friend, convinces him to pretend to go along with it, and then uses his charm to make her change her mind.
