Holiday Date plot
When Brooke Miller's boyfriend ends their relationship just before the holidays, she decides to visit her parents with Joel, an actor who will pretend to be her boyfriend. She has described her ex-boyfriend as the perfect man who absolutely loves Christmas, but discovers that Joel is Jewish and has never celebrated Christmas. What he lacks in experience, however, he makes up for with enthusiasm. When Joel's secret is revealed, Brooke's family is very curious about his Jewish Hanukkah traditions, but they quickly become suspicious of his true identity.
