Caravan plot

"Their music made love - their love was like music"

The young Countess Wilma has to get married before midnight in order not to miss out on an inheritance. Impulsively Wilma chooses the gypsy and vagabond Latzi. Wilma offers him a large amount as hush money. Latzi overcomes his pride and agrees to a marriage. It doesn't take long before Wilma falls in love with the young Lieutenant Von Tokay, who is actually in love with the gypsy Timka, Latzi's girlfriend. Complications are inevitable.
