Abeni plot
Abeni is a beautiful, ambitious young lady whose father is terribly rich. Akanni is a handsome young man, from a poor family, who has struggled to move himself higher up the social ladder. When they were children, they were best friends but deeply in love. Akanni's father used to work for Abeni's father, but a conflict forced Akanni's family to move from Nigeria to neighboring Benin. Years later, when the pair reach adulthood, fate reconnects them, and it's immediately clear that the romantic feelings towards each other have never gone away. However, Akanni is already engaged and Abeni is about to be married off by her father.
