Riptide plot

Student life is coming to an end for Suku and Charlie. These roommates and lovers prepare to say goodbye and spend their last days drinking on the beach. They talk about literature, make love and take long trips on deserted roads. His health forces Suku to leave early. When he returns from a near-death experience, he discovers that Charlie lives a ghostly existence that he is intimately familiar with, but invisible to everyone else.
