Dark Mansions plot

Shellane Victor is hired to write the history of the wealthy Drake family. She resides at the family's estate in Oregon, where she discovers that she resembles a long-dead ancestor of the Drakes. She begins to worry when it turns out that the events that happened to her also happened to that woman and that they led to her death.
